The ayah warns of adhaban sa'ada, a punishment that is the road itself (72:17). Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan explains what that looks like from the inside. Hearts only find rest in the remembrance of Allah (13:28), so when the dhikr goes, peace is the first thing to go: anxiety, sleepless nights, needing anything to drown out your own thoughts, while the outside looks like the nicest apartment and car.
