When Family Loyalty Becomes a Test of Faith

In many cultures, lying and cheating become easy to excuse when family is involved. A person may pray, fast, say all the right Islamic words, and still abandon truth when their cousin, uncle, parent, or sibling is the one in the wrong. Islam does not teach “family first, deen second.” Justice does not stop at the door of our homes. The real test is not what we say in a khutbah.
