When Desire Replaces Allah

The Quran describes something more serious than simply following a desire. A person may still believe they are worshipping Allah, use religious language and see themselves as devoted to Him. But inside, their desires may have become the authority deciding what they accept and what they reject. The danger begins when Allah’s guidance is no longer shaping our desires and our desires begin reshaping our relationship with Allah.
