Fear Goes Where No Army Can

Allah hurls fear into the hearts of Banu Nadir, a tribe in Madinah that broke its treaty with the Prophet ﷺ and plotted against his life: "wa qadhafa fi qulubihimur ru'b," وَقَذَفَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الرُّعْبَ‎ (59:2). Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan pictures it as an arrow that passes every wall and lodges in the heart. The word "ru'b" describes a heart swollen with fear the way an injury swells.
